The number of new taxpayers over the age of 60 rose by 25 per cent last year, according to government figures.
A Freedom of Information request to the Treasury asked how many new taxpayers who registered last year were over the age of 60.
In response, it there were said 263 - of those, 217 were new residents while 46 returned to the Isle of Man.
The year before, there were 209 new taxpayers - of whom 164 were new residents.
