A Douglas man will be sentenced next month after admitting cheating the benefit system.
48-year-old Brendan Murphy, of Windsor Road, appeared at Douglas Courthouse on Thursday.
He admitted failing to inform the government that his circumstances had changed between June 2015 and January this year.
He also pleaded guilty to two counts of making false representations to obtain benefits in October 2017.
The court heard Murphy had been overpaid by over £4,000.
A social enquiry report has been requested before he’s sentenced on August 30 th - he’s been bailed until that date.
