Search for new Head of E-Gaming begins

The process of recruiting a new Head of E-Gaming for the Isle of Man has commenced following yesterday\'s news that Garth Kimber would be stepping down from the role.

In the four years he has held the position the Island has seen E-Gaming surge in popularity, accounting for 9.1% of the Island's revenue and creating 400 jobs. 

The post represents a significant role in the future strategic aims of both the Department of Economic Development and the Isle of Man Gaming sector as a whole.

Economic Development Minister John Shimmin has said the role is crucial in protecting and promoting one of the Island's fastest growing industries.

Mr Kimber will now be heading back into the private sector.
