School to remain open during teacher's funeral

Hundreds of people are expected to attend the funeral of a popular Island teacher on Thursday.

31-year-old PE teacher Rob Campbell died after being hit by a coach on Richmond Hill on December 20th.

His funeral will take place at St Paul's Church in Ramsey.

St Ninian's High School says the school will remain open and will run as close to normal as possible - supply staff will cover for teachers who are attending the service.

The school is planning a number of memorial events for pupils to pay their respects - these include a book of condolence which is currently being collated.
