A Douglas high school is asking students to don green colours later this week to support those affected by the Australian bushfires.
Ballakermeen High School wants students to wear a green item of clothing on Friday and the school will donate 50p for each pupil that takes part.
Supporting the Isle of Man Young Farmers, the money will then be split between the St Vincent de Paul Society - which is providing relief to people displaced by the blazes - and Need for Feed, which is supporting farmers whos farms have been destroyed.
The latter is also generating cash for an organisation called Feed for Animals which is helping creatures which have survived the devastating events but are without food and water.
