The Department of Infrastructure says repairing every road on the Island would cost £84 million.
North Douglas MHK David Ashford asked Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer what was being done to maintain roads and pavements around the Island.
Mr Harmer says although the DOI has already been given £500,000 this year, it will need more cash to fix more routes around the Island.
He also says it's clear that many Island roads, highways and foothpaths need work.
