The RNLI is reminding people to stay safe while paddleboarding during the hot weather.
Water Safety Officer James Kellett says that although the sun may be shining, the sea can still be unforgiving.
Simple safety precautions include wearing a lifejacket, carrying a mobile phone in a waterproof pouch, avoiding offshore winds, wearing the correct leash for your board and letting someone know where you're going.
He adds, the most important measure is to turn back if conditions aren't right.
