Port St Mary RNLI launched to help out a stranded fishing boat yesterday afternoon.
It had suffered mechanical problems south of the Calf of Man on Tuesday, June 23.
The RNLI says that fishing gear had become tangled under the hull, and it needed to tow the vessel.
A spokesperson from the station said engine problems can quickly leave you drifting even on calm days, and to always carry a means of calling for help.
