A drink-driver has denied causing a New Year’s Day crash which saw them hit a car driven by another drink-driver.
Kevin Paul Murphy of Hillside Terrace in Douglas appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 40 year old admitted drink-driving his Nissan van on January 1 on Douglas Road in Ballasalla at around 3.15pm.
Prosecutor Rebecca Cubbon said Murphy had crossed over the road’s central divider and the crash saw both drivers taken to hospital.
Test later showed both were over the legal alcohol limit – with Murphy more than three times over.
Mrs Hughes bailed him to appear in court again on June 8.
