A Reform UK candidate has predicted the Isle of Man will be overrun by refugees from "Palatine".
Tommey Temperley, who came fourth in last year's election in Blackburn, was commenting on the news Amnesty international would be holding a vigil in Douglas against genocide in Gaza on Friday.
On Facebook, Mr Temperley said "the ferry will be full with refugees with one way tickets supporting Palatine."
And he added "Hoteliers be ready...."
