A rare wildflower has been rediscovered on the Island after 142 years.
Skullcap has been found at a dairy farm by the Manx Wildlife Trust, after not being seen in the wild since the nineteenth century.
The plant is part of the mint family and has flowers.
MWT Botanist Andree Dubbledam says a recent review of Manx wildflowers found that 45 native species have gone extinct, so this exciting rediscovery is very welcome news.
