The Department of Infrastructure ended its lease with Ramsey shipyard because a tenant hadn't paid the rent.
In Tynwald this week enterprise minister Laurence Skelly spoke about the facility after being quizzed by Ayre and Michael MHK Tim Baker.
Mr Baker wanted to know why a lease with the department was terminated, and how much rent is outstanding.
In response, Mr Skelly said the DOI went to the high court against DSC - the former occupant of the Ramsey shipyard, who owes more than £50,000 in total.
