Making sure those with life-changing injuries are properly compensated is 'vital'.
That's according to Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK, as it was announced his department is reviewing the discount rate for personal injury claims.
Mr Cannan added the process will take several months and hopes to bring amended legislation on the matter to Tynwald no later than January next year.
It comes after the UK government recently introduced a new discount rate for those requiring compensation in England and Wales.
