David Cretney has told 3FM that a proposal is to be put before Treasury as major work on Douglas Promenade edges nearer.
The Infrastructure Minister admitted the surface was well overdue a complete overhaul and it’s something the department had been working towards for a long time.
He didn't put a time frame on when the proposal would be submitted, but confirmed it would be over the coming months.
Even with financial constraints still an issue, Mr Cretney believes Tynwald will eventually approve the plans (audio).
