The Department of Education, Sport and Culture says giving details of repairs to the NSC's pool would breach commercial confidentiality.
A Freedom of Information request asked about repairs to tiles lifting from the main pool and whether the taxpayer or the contractor who laid them would have to pay to fix the problems.
The department says the problem, discovered last November, affects two lanes at the pool.
But it won't say who will pay for the fix, saying it's still talking to the contractor and it has to protect commercial interests.
