Police are again warning of Island scams targeting residents as some continue to circulate.
The constabulary says people alleging to be from UK Customs and Excise are contacting homes asking people to pay an outstanding debt, with officers advising to put the phone down immediately and not engage.
Meanwhile, authorities also describe people receiving letters from Spain claiming whoever the receiver is has won £1million on the Spanish lottery - officers have branded it as 'nonsense' and to ignore it.
The advice comes following numerous similar incidents in recent months including bogus Manx Telecom callers, fake Amazon messages and a TV Licensing scam.
