The Department of Infrastructure says Douglas Harbour has been dredged 16 times so far this year.
A Freedom of Information request asked for details of the work in the capital's port.
In its response, the department said between the start of March and the end of July, there'd been 16 dredgings in Douglas.
And it added external contractors had been hired six times in May, with the rest of the work done by the department.
