Police are warning people of a cheque scam circulating the Island.
Authorities say a number of businesses have been targeted recently - the scam in question involves booking accommodation with cheques.
They say although cheques can be used they're looking for people requesting a refund after booking - the end result is the cheque bounces.
it's asking businesses to be wary f these types of bookings as it deters from normal and reliable methods of taking payment.
