A series of hoax calls to emergency services last night have been branded as 'disgusting' and 'shameful' by police.
Officers say the bogus calls caused delays for paramedics and police in getting to serious incidents and risked 'putting innocent and vulnerable people at risk of death'.
As a result, the constabulary is warning those behind them of the possibly serious impact they can have.
It took to social media last night to issue its message.
