A motorist has come forward after footage of them driving caught Police's attention.
A video of a white Ford Focus RS overtaking a van on the Mountain was uploaded to Twitter by a member of the public at the weekend.
Officers then urged the driver and witnesses to come forward - saying driving like that 'would not be tolerated'.
Now, authorities say the driver got in touch and has 'been dealt with'.
Police add this could have turned out to be a multiple crash with potential fatalities - in turn causing a massive strain on Emergency Services and Noble's.
Further to our below post yesterday, the driver got in touch shortly afterwards and has now been dealt with. This could have turned out to be a multiple vehicle RTC with potential fatalities. This would cause a massive strain on all emergency service and Nobles. #drivetoarrive pic.twitter.com/ZAvVsBlPNh
