Police retirements prompt officer firearms training

Seven police officers have been trained to deal with firearms incidents after a wave of retirements: 

They've learnt how to handle a number of different weapons including light automatic rifles, handguns and tasers: 

The comprehensive seven week training programme was led by accredited local instructors. 

The Home Affairs Minister says he believes it's particularly pivotal because we're an Island nation - Inspector Derek Flint agrees:
