Police, coastguard and civil defence involved in search

A major operation was launched last night to locate a missing vulnerable female.

The emergency services were called to reports of an abandoned vehicle.

After a short search of the area the woman was located by the dog teams, given treatment and transferred to the waiting ambulance by stretcher.

The search team consisted of police, civil defence and the coastguards.
