Police are appealing for information after an elderly woman was assaulted in Ramsey.
The incident happened at around 3:30pm on Wednesday May 3, where the woman was subjected to a ‘seemingly random and unprovoked assault’ in the area of Queens Pier Road.
A second woman approached her and started shouting obscenities, before spitting in her direction and slapping her across the face, knocking her off balance.
Officers say no lasting injuries were sustained.
The suspect is described as being a white female of medium/stocky build, with blonde shoulder length hair aged no younger than 50.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to get in touch with their nearest Police Station as soon as possible.
