Police appeal after driver fails to stop at crossing

An appeal for witnesses has gone out after a motorist narrowly missed pedestrians using a crossing in Douglas earlier in the month.

At approximately 8.40am on Monday 7th November a small silver car went through a red light on Woodbourne Road, and proceeded to drive straight over the crossing, despite the pedestrians.

The car is believed to have contained at least one passenger and was being driven by a male

Anyone with information regarding this incident is urged to contact PC Hayley Curtis at Lord Street Police Station.
