Street Soccer Night Back by Popular Demand
Following
on from the success of the Street Soccer night held in the former
Victoria Road Prison, the Police and the Youth Service have once again
teamed up to host another event.
This time round it will be held
in the St Ninian’s High School Park Road playground, kicking off at 7pm
tonight.
It's all geared toward offering something to do for
youngsters in Douglas on a Friday night and it's hoped it will become a
permanent fixture.
Sergeant Ged Power said 'This time we are
looking at teams entering a street soccer tournament, and we know
various youth clubs are planning to enter teams so we are hoping for a
good turn out and lots of people coming to cheer them on.
The
night is expected to conclude at 9.30pm.
