Staff absences at an Island college has come under Freedom of Information request scrutiny.
The person behind the request asked the Department of Education, Sport and Culture how many long term sickness absences there had been from staff at the Isle of Man College between 2023 and 2026.
The department responded that there has been more than an 80 percent increase in long-term absences of staff in the past three years.
The academic year beginning in 2023 showed 16 members of staff had been off for over 21 days, but in 2026 that figure has almost doubled going up to 29 people off with long-term illnesses.
