Has the play area at the Island's Sea Terminal closed?
It comes following a picture of the area cordoned off - a local man has started a petition calling for the DOI to either replace the current play area, or keep it.
He says the facility is enjoyed by many parents and play groups and is needed on the Island when the weather is poor - adding there is nothing else like it on Island.
208 people have signed the petition so far.
3FM has contacted the Department of Infrastructure for a comment.
