Plans to restore historic Bishopscourt dairy

An historic dairy which could date back as much as 300 years could be brought back to its former glory.

Ann and David Giroux, the owners of Bishopscourt in Kirk Michael, have applied for planning permission for restoration work.

The say the partly-underground octagonal building appears in records from the 1870s, but could date back to the 17th century.

They've asked planners to approve work to windows, doors, walls, the floor and roof of the building - which they say will match the estate's appearance.
