A pigeon which was hit with a homemade blow dart earlier this week should make a full recovery.
That's according to the Manx Wild Bird Aid after being called out to the injured bird on Sunday afternoon.
It was found in the Pulrose area with the metal dart embedded in its wing - luckily it didn't hit any vital organs so the charity was able to remove it.
Police are reminding people it is illegal to injure or kill a bird without lawful authority and possessing a blow pipe in a public place is also against the law.
Fortunately, the MWBA says the pigeon is doing well and should make a full recovery.
