Those on income related benefits, such as Income Support and Family Income supplement will see an increase of just over 4%.
Other pensions and benefits, which are covered under reciprocal arrangement with the UK, will also gradually be increased, in line with UK inflation.
Minister Martyn Quayle has said it’s been a challenge allocating the funds to the scheme, but they were deemed essential.
