Penalties for parents who don't log children

Parents have been told they will be penalised if their home-schooled children aren't registered.

By law the Department of Education and Children has to know where pupils are being educated.

It means if they don't attend a department run school and are home taught they must be logged.

The registration has to be done within three months of a child reaching five years of age.
