Manx Utilities says it's rescheduled a planned closure of Peel Promenade as it carries out sewage works.
The organisation had planned to shut the road between Market Street and Crown Street from February 2 for around four months.
However, in an update it says it's postponed the full closure until autumn to minimize the impact on businesses.
Work on a pumping station means there'll be temporary traffic lights on Shore Road from next month.
