The Department of Infrastructure says it hopes to replace a bridge in the west of the Island this September.
Last month the department applied for planning permission to build a new span across the River Neb at Peel harbour.
It now says work should start in the summer if planning proposals are approved.
The public can see new designs for the bridge at Peel Town Hall on Thursday, May 17.
