Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious road traffic collision that occurred on Thursday.
The incident occurred at roughly 3.20pm, involving a white coloured Renault Van and a male pedestrian from Baldrine.
It happened on the New Castletown Road near to the Hop Garden.
The male pedestrian was taken to Nobles Hospital with serious injuries and has since been admitted for observations.
The Police would like to speak to anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed anything, in particular the van and any pedestrians that were on the Mount Murray side of the road.
