Two men from Douglas deny stealing a caravan and damaging it by fitting a woodburner while it was hidden in foliage.
Gavin William Patterson of Hillside Avenue and Mark Phillip David Galbraith of Cushag Road pleaded not guilty to seven offences at Douglas Courthouse this week.
Prosecution advocate Rachael Braidwood said the pair are alleged to have taken the caravan containing £2,000 of power tools from Andreas Airfield last November.
They’re then said to have taken it to Ballaughton Manor, where they used stolen decking to make a new floor for it and cut a hole in its roof for a chimney.
Police later found it hidden by branches from fir trees.
Both were granted bail by High Bailiff Jayne Hughes and will appear again on April 16 for a pre-trial review.
