Packed Schedule as Tynwald Returns
Today is the first day back of Tynwald after their break and it’s looking like a packed schedule.
The Chief Minister’s statement regarding the tax and vat sharing arrangement with the UK is expected to take centre stage, in what is expected to be a jam packed Tynwald schedule.
The implications of the arrangement being brought to an end could mean a £100,000,000 shaped hole in the Island’s yearly budget.
Asides from that announcement Treasury Minster Alan Bell will be giving an update on the Depositors Compensation Scheme.
Health Minister Eddie Teare will also be addressing the issues surrounding the impending end of the UK Reciprocal Health Agreement.
