Education Minister Daphne Caine says her department is working on a detailed and comprehensive remote education plan - which would address all potential school closure scenarios.
She faced a question for written answer from Rushen MHK Juan Watterson about delivering education online in future.
Mrs Caine said her department already had the ability to switch to online education, but is working with schools to plan how it might work in future.
