The Department of Economic Development has hosted a round table discussion to flag up the significant opportunities of offshore renewable energy in Manx territorial waters.
The discussion was geared toward raising the Island’s profile as an ideal location to develop offshore renewable energy projects.
Three key themes were up for debate, offshore wind, marine renewables and the possibility of an on Island operation and maintenance base, which could generate dozens of jobs.
The discussions were attended by over 50 delegates, consisting of corporate service providers, Government departments and green tech organisations.
