A Douglas man has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison after having a "meltdown" and brandishing kitchen knives at his neighbours.
44 year old James Brent Fitzgerald, of Woodville Terrace, threatened the couple, who live in the flat above him, on July 14.
Police were called to the property just before 11.30pm after he was seen with the knives, making threats and swiping motions with them through the window.
At Douglas Courthouse yesterday Fitzgerald admitted a charge of affray.
The court heard he and his neighbours had been in dispute for some time over noise concerns and Fitzgerald had made numerous complaints to the landlord.
Fitzgerald's advocate told the court "He has literally just snapped and acted in an extremely foolish manner".
Social Enquiry Reports have been requested before he's sentenced on August 22 - an application for bail was refused.
