A leading island animal charity says one of the most common reasons people have to give up their beloved pets is because they can't find accommodation that'll accept them.
The Manx SPCA has published a roundup of the work it did last year, saying in 2025 it took in 766 animals.
But it says one of the most frequently-cited reasons people gave up their pets was because they were moving but couldn't find pet-friendly accommodation.
And it says other reasons people gave up their companions included financial constraints and not having enough time to look after them.
