No evidence tax hike has damaged construction industry, says Minister

There's no evidence that a tax hike on developers has dented the morale of the construction industry.

That was the message from the Minister for Economic Development after attending an industry forum this week.

In the meeting, representatives presented a positive view of the sector's current ability to secure contracts.

Major construction projects are still underway - including government works relating to the Central Douglas Masterplan.
