New tenants found for Jurby Stores

Following a lengthy search the Department of Social Care have declared that the new tenants have been found to take over the dormant convenience store in Jurby.

Since the former tenants ceased trading earlier this year Jurby has been unprovided for, with residents having to travel to Andreas or Ramsey when shopping for basic provisions.

Michael MHK Alf Cannan has welcomed the news after he'd campaigned for something to be done previously.

He said he now hopes local residents will support the stores as much as possible to ensure its long term sustainability.

The shop will open to the public on December 5th.
