New regulations being introduced for the Island’s queen scallop fishery are not without controversy.
That’s according to the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture which has brought in new measures for this season.
It follows a consultation on how to ensure the fishery can be effectively managed and maintained.
Many of the measures introduced last year have been retained however this year fishermen will be required to have a queen scallop licence.
