The Islands new First Deemster is a 'well-respected figure' according to the Lieutenant Governor.
Sir Richard Gozney welcomed the appointment of Andrew Corlett as First Deemster and Clerk of the Rolls.
Mr Corlett says it is 'an honour and a privilege' to take on the responsibility.
He will succeed Deemster David Doyle who is stepping down after eight years in the role.
