An Island organisation wants to create a facility to ensure the survival of many breeds of animals nearing extinction.
The Rare Breeds Survival Trust will be dealing with certain types of farmyard animals that over the years have been allowed to die out as they were no longer seen as being commercially viable.
Going under the banner the ‘Manx Ark Project’ it comes with running costs of £700,000 per year.
Dr Paul Davis is the spokesperson for the Isle of Man group, he says people need to take note that a great number of animals and poultry are close to dying out completely:
