Manx parents are being encouraged to delay giving their children smartphones and access to social media through an Isle of Man initiative.
Smartphone Free Childhood Isle of Man says families can find it difficult to hold off if they feel their child is the only one without a device.
It says waiting becomes much easier when families know they’re not making the decision alone.
Parents can get involved by signing the Parent Pact via the website and by following Smartphone Free Childhood Isle of Man on social media.
