Ronaldsway Met Office says September was the third-warmest on record.
In its monthly summary, it says last month saw average temperatures of 15.3 Celcius, 1.4 degrees above average.
The Isle of Man saw 121.4 hours of September sunshine, well below the long-term average.
And as well as being dull, it was also wet, with 89 millimetres recorded at the airport - more than 25 per cent above what we'd usually expect.
