Nearly £12million in funding has been secured to build a new care home on the Island.
This week, members of Tynwald unanimously approved a motion from Health and Social Care Minister, David Ashford MHK, for £11.7million to construct the new Summerhill View home.
The future 60-bed facility is set to be the long-term replacement for the Reayrt ny Baie complex and is expected to take around two years to complete.
Just over £750,000 had already been approved to cover design fees and enabling works.
