MUA considers dredging Silverburn River

Plans are in place to inspect Silverburn River later this year to assess whether it needs to be dredged. 

That's according to the Manx Utilities Authority which says the river, which flows between St Marks and Castletown, will be reviewed. 

Chairman, and Ramsey MHK, Alex Allinson told the House of Keys yesterday if silt builds up to become a flood risk it will be removed:
