Manx Care has confirmed that the Minor Injuries Unit at Ramsey Cottage Hospital will remain closed at weekends until further notice.
The department approved the temporary closure of the unit from July 6 2024, because of low attendance and the lack of X-ray services.
However, the current decision to keep it closed at weekends is due to staffing challenges and to avoid costly agency cover.
A long-term decision for the service is expected by January 31 2026.
